We study ground state properties of the double-exchange model on a triangle chain in the classical limit on t{sub 2g} spins. The ground state is determined by a competition among the kinetic energy of the e{sub g} electron, the antiferromagnetic exchange energy between the t{sub 2g} spins, and frustration due to a geometric structure of the lattice. The phase diagrams are obtained numerically for two kinds of the models which differ only in the transfer integral being real or complex. The…

We study the ground state properties of the double-exchange systems. The phase factor of the hopping matrix elements arises from $t_{2g}$ spin texture in two or more dimensions. A novel ``flux''
Double-exchange model: phase separation versus canted spins
Abstract:We study the competition between different possible ground states of the double-exchange model with strong ferromagnetic exchange interaction between itinerant electrons and local spins.
T=0 Phase Diagram of the Double-Exchange Model
We present the T=0 phase diagram of the double-exchange model (ferromagnetic Kondo lattice model) for all values of the carrier concentration $n$ and Hund's couplng $J$, within dynamical mean field
Variational mean-field approach to the double-exchange model
It has been recently shown that the double exchange Hamiltonian, with weak antiferromagnetic interactions, has a richer variety of first- and second-order transitions than previously anticipated, and
Monte Carlo determination of the phase diagram of the double-exchange model
We study the phase diagram of the double exchange model, with antiferromagnetic interactions, in a cubic lattice both at zero and finite temperature. There is a rich variety of magnetic phases,
Some aspects of the theory of magnets with competing double exchange and superexchange interactions
In colossal magnetoresistance materials, ferromagnetic double exchange presumably coexists with a direct nearest-neighbor antiferromagnetic interaction. We construct a single-site mean-field theory
Discontinuous transitions in double-exchange materials
It is shown that the double-exchange Hamiltonian, with weak antiferromagnetic interactions, has a rich variety of first-order transitions between phases with different electronic densities and/or
Spin-flux phase in the Kondo lattice model with classical localized spins
We provide numerical evidence that a spin-flux phase exists as a ground state of the Kondo lattice model with classical local spins on a square lattice. This state manifests itself as a double-e

The phase diagram of the double-exchange model is studied in the large-S limit at zero temperature in two and three dimensions. We find that the spiral state has lower energy than the canted
Island phases and charge order in two-dimensional manganites
The ferromagnetic Kondo lattice model with an antiferromagnetic interaction between localized spins is a minimal description of the competing kinetic t and magnetic K energy terms which generate the
