The aim of this study was to investigate the dose-related effects of ibuprofen (placebo, 400 and 800 mg rac-ibuprofen [Aktren], administered orally) on experimentally-induced tonic and phasic pain. 2. Eighteen volunteers participated in this randomized, double-blind, three-fold cross-over study. Measurements were obtained before and 90 min after administration of the drugs.
