The microanatomical localization of dopamine D1A and D1B receptor subtypes was investigated in sections of rat kidney using immunohistochemicals techniques with antidopamine D1A and D1B receptor antibodies. Microanatomical analysis was limited to the various components of nephron. Dopamine D1A receptor immunoreactivity was found primarily in the epithelium of loop of nephron (loop of Henle) and of collecting tubules.
