The question of whether charged leptons oscillate is discussed in detail, with a special emphasis on the coherence properties of the charged lepton states created via weak interactions. This analysis allows one to clarify also an important issue of the theory of neutrino oscillations.

Do non-relativistic neutrinos oscillate?
A bstractWe study the question of whether oscillations between non-relativistic neutrinos or between relativistic and non-relativistic neutrinos are possible. The issues of neutrino production andExpand
Introduction to Neutrino Physics
A synopsis of lectures is presented which were delivered by the author in 2010 at the Baikal summer school on physics of elementary particles and astrophysics. The lectures are primarily intended forExpand
Quantum mechanics aspects and subtleties of neutrino oscillations
Neutrino oscillations appear to be a simple quantum mechanical phenomenon. However, a closer look at them reveals a number of subtle points and apparent paradoxes. Some of the basic issues of theExpand

CP violating effects in heavy neutrino oscillations: implications for colliders and leptogenesis
Abstract Two of the important implications of the seesaw mechanism are: (i) a simple way to understand the small neutrino masses, and (ii) the origin of matter-anti-matter asymmetry in theExpand
Resolvable heavy neutrino–antineutrino oscillations at colliders
Heavy neutrino–antineutrino oscillations can appear in mechanisms of low-scale neutrino mass generation, where pairs of heavy neutrinos have almost degenerate masses. We discuss the case where theExpand
Charged lepton mixing via heavy sterile neutrinos
Pseudoscalar meson decay leads to an entangled state of charged leptons (μ, e) and massive neutrinos. Tracing out the neutrino degrees of freedom leads to a reduced density matrix for the chargedExpand

In this II, a probability to detect the neutrino produced in a high-energy pion decay is shown to receive the large finite-size correction. The neutrino interacts extremely weakly with matters and isExpand
Flavor mixing in a Lee-type model
An exactly solvable quantum field theory (QFT) model of Lee type is constructed to study how neutrino flavor eigenstates are created through interactions and how the localization properties ofExpand

Of course muons can oscillate
Recent theoretical claims not withstanding, muons can and do oscillate. Muons produced in association with neutrinos (if masses and mixing angles are nonzero) exhibit a joint oscillating spatialExpand
Charged lepton and neutrino oscillations
Abstract. Problems long present in the conventional formalism employed for neutrino oscillations are discussed. We here develop a more satisfactory framework based on the Dirac equation and itsExpand
Do muons oscillate
Abstract We develop a theory of the EPR-like effects due to neutrino oscillations in the φ → μν decays. Its experimental implications are space-time correlations of the neutrino and muon when theyExpand
Quantum Mechanics of Neutrino Oscillations

TLDR
It is shown under very general assumptions that it is not possible to distinguish experimentally neutrinos produced in some region of space as wave packets from those produced in the same region ofspace as plane waves with the same energy distribution. Expand
