This study was focus on investigating the community composition of endophytic fungi in the leaves of Vaccinium dunalianum Wight. Based on a combination of morphological features and molecular evidence, 239 endophytic fungal isolates belonging to 33 genera including 62 species were obtained and identified. By comparing the relative abundance (RA) values, the most frequent species belonged to Phyllosticta and Guignardia with RA of 26·78 and 14·22% respectively. Of which, the strains P…

Endophytic community of Chaenomeles speciosa fruits: Screening for biodiversity and antifungal activity

Moderate to high antifungal capacity of the endophytic isolates against the phytopathogenic strains of the Fusarium genus is indicated, indicating the great potential of theendophytic fungi from Ch.

Endophytic mycobiota associated to plants of Vaccinium corymbosum L. in Cañete valley- Perú

Estimation of occurrence frequency of endophytic fungi in stems and leaves of blueberry plants collected from ten farms in Lima and Ica Region, Peru indicated that these strains could be useful to control plant diseases and, therefore, of great interest in sustainable agriculture.

Diversity of endophytic fungi in Coptis chinensis Franch. and their activity against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus.

The findings suggest that the endophytic fungi in C. chinensis have a high diversity and an obvious tissue specificity, and could be of potential interest in screening anti-MRSA agents.

Endophytic Fungi of Emersed Halophytes in River Deltas and Tidal Flats of the Korean Ramsar Wetlands

This study aimed to obtain information on the diversity and distribution of the endophytic fungi in Ramsar wetlands. Vast salt marshes in Suncheon Bay, Korea, are formed by two types of ecotones

Production and Functionalities of Specialized Metabolites from Different Organic Sources

This review reinforces the production of specialized metabolites, especially by plants and microorganisms, and the effectiveness of microorganisms in increasing the production/concentration of these compounds in plants.

Oxaliplatin Induces Cell Cycle Arrest and Apoptosis in T-leukemia Cells through Mitochondrial and PI3K/Akt Signaling Pathways

Western blot analysis showed that L-OHP treatment could promote apoptosis through down- regulated Bcl-2 protein level, up-regulated Bax and caspase-9 proteins levels and cell cycle arrest by inhibiting the PI3K/Akt signaling pathway in MOLT-4 cells.

Biotization of highbush blueberry with ericoid mycorrhizal and endophytic fungi improves plant growth and vitality.

Ecological methods are becoming increasingly popular. One of these methods is plant biotization. In our paper, we focus on selection of Vaccinium corymbosum hairy root-inhabiting fungi for plant

Biodiversity, Phylogeny, and Antifungal Functions of Endophytic Fungi Associated with Zanthoxylum bungeanum

The biodiversity, phylogeny, and antifungal activity of endophytic fungi associated with Z. bungeanum is systematically demonstrated and the value of sampling different tissues of a given plant to obtain the greatest endophyte species diversity is revealed.

The Endophytic Mycoflora of Bark, Leaf, and Stem Tissues of Azadirachta indica A. Juss (Neem) from Varanasi (India)

The rich and sizeable collection of endophytic fungi from this specific plant may represent a unique source of one or more of the interesting and useful bioactive compounds normally associated with A. indica such as the azadirachtins and related tetranortriterpenoids.

Hidden diversity of endophytic fungi in an invasive plant.

Both host-jumping and cointroduction of fungal endophytes likely took place during the spotted knapweed invasion, but phylogenetic community structure did not differ significantly between the ranges.

Fungal endophytes of South China blueberry (Vaccinium dunalianum var. urophyllum)

A total of 374 fungal endophyte strains were isolated from of Vaccinium dunalianum var. urophyllum (Ericaceae), a well‐known cultivated blueberry in southern China. These fungal endophytes could be

The study reveals for the first time that host and/or organ preferences of putatively saprotrophic fungi are predominantly responsible for compositional differences in the endophytic fungal communities between host plants and organs.

Endophytic fungi associated with palms

The results presented suggest that most of the endophytes entered the petiole via the leaf and that transmission of palm endophytic fungi is likely to be horizontal (via airborne propagules) rather than vertical (via seed) in both species investigated.

Screening of endophytic fungi that promote the growth of Euphorbia pekinensis

Results showed that plants treated with E4 or E5 exhibited significant increase in growth and all tested growth parameters, as compared to the control, indicating that the treatments of E4 and E5 benefited the growth of the host plantlets.

Endophytic fungi from the medicinal plant Lippia sidoides Cham. and their antimicrobial activity

In conclusion, endophytic fungi from L. sidoides have pharmaceutical potential and can be seen as an attractive source of biologically active compounds.
