We examined which neuronal elements and nonneuronal tissues in the embryonic myocardium are stained with antibodies traditionally used for staining nerve tissue. Furthermore, we studied whether nonneuronal myocardial staining was confined to regions determining initial nerve entry points and development of cardiac ganglia.
