Localization and gene expression of pituitary adenylate cyclase activating polypeptide receptor (PACAPR) in the rat retina were studied by immunocytochemistry and in situ hybridization, respectively. Antisera were raised against a synthetic peptide that corresponds to the carboxy-terminal cytoplasmic domain which is found in all subtypes of PACAPR.
