The vortex lattice (VL) in the mixed state of the stannide superconductor Yb3Rh4Sn13 has been studied using small-angle neutron scattering (SANS). The field dependences of the normalized longitudinal and transverse correlation lengths of the VL, ξ(L)/a0 and ξ(T)/a0, reveal two distinct anomalies that are associated with vortex-glass phases below μ0Hl ≈ 700 G and above μ0Hh ∼ 1.7 T (a0 is the intervortex distance). At high fields, around 1.7 T, the longitudinal correlation decreases abruptly…

Unveiling of Bragg glass to vortex glass transition by an ac driving force in a single crystal of Yb3Rh4Sn13
We present here some striking discrepancies in the results of ac and dc magnetization measurements performed in a single crystal of low Tc superconductor, Yb3Rh4Sn13. Fingerprint of a transition from
Structural and Physical Properties of Remeika Phases
Abstract The primitive cubic Yb3Rh4Sn13 type of crystal structure that belongs to space group Pm 3 ¯ n with the unit cell parameter, a, of approximately 10 A was discovered in the early 1980s by

A Bragg glass phase in the vortex lattice of a type II superconductor
Although crystals are usually quite stable, they are sensitive to a disordered environment: even an infinitesimal amount of impurities can lead to the destruction of crystalline order. The resulting
Structural evidence for a two-step process in the depinning of the superconducting flux-line lattice
A TYPE II superconductor in a magnetic field is penetrated by a hexagonal lattice of quantized flux lines. An applied current imposes a Lorentz force on these lines, but motion of the lattice will
Dislocations and the critical endpoint of the melting line of vortex line lattices
line merge. 14 In this paper we present an explanation for the existence of a critical endpoint of the first-order melting line in the presence of point disorder. Our argumentation is based on a
Ca 3 Ir 4 Sn 13 : A weakly correlated nodeless superconductor
We report detailed Seebeck coefficient, Hall resistivity, as well as specific heat measurement on Ca3Ir4Sn13 single crystals. The Seebeck coefficient exhibits a peak corresponding to the anomaly in
Small-angle neutron scattering study of the mixed state of Yb 3 Rh 4 Sn 13
Using the small angle neutron scattering (SANS) technique we investigated the vortex lattice (VL) in the mixed state of the stannide superconductor Yb$_{3}$Rh$_{4}$Sn$_{13}$. We find a single domain
Pressure- and composition-induced structural quantum phase transition in the cubic superconductor (Sr, Ca)3Ir4Sn13.
We show that the quasi-skutterudite superconductor Sr(3)Ir(4)Sn(13) undergoes a structural transition from a simple cubic parent structure, the I phase, to a superlattice variant, the I' phase, which
Peak effect in superconductors: melting of Larkin domains
Motivated by the recent observations of the peak effect in high-Tc YBCO superconductors, we re-examine the origin of this unusual phenomenon. We propose that the sharp peak in the critical current as
Regions of enhanced pinning in the mixed state of the superconductor Yb3Rh4Sn13
We present results of magnetisation, electrical resistivity and critical current measurements in applied magnetic fields on single crystals of the superconductor, YbaRh4Snl3. An irreversible peak is
An overview is given of the new theories and experiments on the phase diagram of type II superconductors, which in recent years have progressed from the Abrikosov mean field theory to the "vortex
Peak Effect in the Superconducting Mixed State of Yb3Rh4Sn13 Single Crystals
We have measured the electrical resistivity, magnetic susceptibility, magnetization and specific heat of single-crystal samples of Yb 3 Rh 4 Sn 13 . Below the upper critical field, we observed an
