Vav3 is a member of the Vav family of guanine nucleotide exchange factors (GEFs) for the Rho family GTPases. Deleting the N-terminal calponin homology (CH) domain to generate Vav3-(5-10) or deleting both the CH and the acidic domain to generate Vav3-(6-10) results in activating the transforming potential of Vav3.
