Based on archival Hubble Space Telescope images, we have performed stellar photometry for 18 dwarf galaxies. Branches of young and old stars are seen on the constructed Hertzsprung–Russell diagrams. Using the photometry of red giants and applying the TRGB method, we have determined accurate distances for all 18 galaxies for the first time. The galaxies AGC 238890 and AGC 747826 have minimum (D = 5.1 Mpc) and maximum (D = 12.0 Mpc) distances, respectively. The distances to the remaining galaxies…

XMP gas-rich dwarfs in nearby voids: results of BTA spectroscopy
We present the second part of results of the ongoing project aimed at searching for and studying eXtremely Metal-Poor (XMP) – adopted as those with Zgas ≲ Z⊙/30, or with 12+log (O/H) ≲ 7.21 dex −

Stellar subsystems of the galaxy NGC 1313
Based on archival Hubble Space Telescope (HST) ACS/WFC images, we have performed stellar photometry for eight fields of the spiral galaxy NGC 1313 and its satellite, the low-mass Sph/Irr galaxy
STELLAR POPULATIONS AND STAR FORMATION HISTORY OF THE METAL-POOR DWARF GALAXY DDO 68
We present the star formation history (SFH) of the extremely metal-poor dwarf galaxy DDO 68, based on our photometry with the Advanced Camera for Surveys. With a metallicity of only and a very
ALFALFA DISCOVERY OF THE MOST METAL-POOR GAS-RICH GALAXY KNOWN: AGC 198691
We present spectroscopic observations of the nearby dwarf galaxy AGC 198691. This object is part of the Survey of H i in Extremely Low-Mass Dwarfs project, which is a multi-wavelength study of
THE SURVEY OF H i IN EXTREMELY LOW-MASS DWARFS (SHIELD)
We present first results from the Survey of H i in Extremely Low-mass Dwarfs (SHIELD), a multi-configuration Expanded Very Large Array (EVLA) study of the neutral gas contents and dynamics of
COSMICFLOWS-3
The Cosmicflows database of galaxy distances that in the second edition contained 8188 entries is now expanded to 17,669 entries. The major additions are 2257 distances that we have derived from the
Curvature constraints from large scale structure
We modified the CLASS code in order to include relativistic galaxy number counts in spatially curved geometries; we present the formalism and study the effect of relativistic corrections on spatial
THE ROTATION PERIOD AND LIGHT-CURVE AMPLITUDE OF KUIPER BELT DWARF PLANET 136472 MAKEMAKE (2005 FY9)
Kuiper Belt dwarf planet 136472 Makemake, formerly known as 2005 FY9, is currently the third-largest known object in the Kuiper Belt, after the dwarf planets Pluto and Eris. It is currently second
