The sites of inhibited phosphate transport following administration of bovine parathyroid hormone (bPTH) to thyroparathyroidectomized (TPTX) dogs were investigated. Phosphate reabsorption by the proximal and distal nephron was studied using recollection micropuncture, stop-flow methodology, and electron-probe microanalysis.
