We investigated the discrimination ability of pyridinolines crosslinks related bone resorption markers. Amino-terminal pyridinolines crosslinked telopeptides (NTx) and carboxy-terminal pyridinolines crosslinked telopeptides (ICTP), pyridinoline (Pyr) and deoxypyridinoline (Dpyr) were measured in 62 premenopausal (PRE), 30 early postmenopausal healthy subjects (POST) and 24 vertebral osteoporosis patients (VX).
