The book is 537 pages long and is divided in ten chapters, in which the author gives an excellent and complete introduction to all aspects related to discrete-event computer simulation. Although the author uses a clear language and does not pre-suppose any discrete-event simulation knowledge from the reader, some background in probability theory, statistics and calculus is necessary to feel comfortable with the book.
