Diabetes mellitus is growing global pandemic [1], causing microand macrovascular complications [2]. Compared with type 1 diabetes due to an absolute deficiency of insulin secretion, type 2 diabetes, a much more prevalent category, is due to combination of resistance to insulin action and an inadequate compensatory insulin secretory response [3].
