We present a quantitative, direct comparison of constraints on sterile neutrinos derived from neutrino oscillation experiments and from Planck data, interpreted assuming standard cosmological evolution. We extend a $1+1$ model, which is used to compare exclusions contours at the 95% CL derived from Planck data to those from $\nu_{e}$-disappearance measurements, to a $3+1$ model. This allows us to compare the Planck constraints with those obtained through $\nu_{\mu}\rightarrow\nu_{e}$ appearance…

Search for signatures of sterile neutrinos with Double Chooz
We present a search for signatures of neutrino mixing of electron anti-neutrinos with additional hypothetical sterile neutrino flavors using the Double Chooz experiment. The search is based on data
eV-Scale Sterile Neutrino Search Using Eight Years of Atmospheric Muon Neutrino Data from the IceCube Neutrino Observatory.
The results of a 3+1 sterile neutrino search using eight years of data from the IceCube Neutrino Observatory are presented and the best-fit point is found to be at sin-2(2θ_{24})=0.10 and Δm_{41}^{2}=4.5  eV^{2), which is consistent with the no sterile neutRino hypothesis.
The Violation of Equivalence Principle and Four Neutrino Oscillations for Long Baseline Neutrinos
Violation of equivalence principle predicts that neutrinos of different flavour couple differently with gravity. Such a scenario can give rise to gravity induced flavour oscillations in addition to
Searching for eV-scale sterile neutrinos with eight years of atmospheric neutrinos at the IceCube Neutrino Telescope
We report in detail on searches for eV-scale sterile neutrinos, in the context of a 3 + 1 model, using eight years of data from the IceCube Neutrino Telescope. By analyzing the reconstructed energi
Requirements on common solutions to the LSND and MiniBooNE excesses: a post-MicroBooNE study
Abstract The strong statistical significance of an observed electron-like event excess in the MiniBooNE (MB) experiment, along with an earlier similar excess seen in the Liquid Scintillator Neutrino
Future searches for light sterile neutrinos at nuclear reactors
We study the optimization of a green-field, two-baseline reactor experiment with respect to the sensitivity for electron antineutrino disappearance in search of a light sterile neutrino. We consider
Reactor Antineutrino Anomaly Reanalysis in Context of Inverse-Square Law Violation
We discuss a possibility that the so-called reactor antineutrino anomaly (RAA), which is a deficit of the ν¯e rates in the reactor experiments in comparison to the theoretical expectations, can at
Explaining the MiniBooNE excess through a mixed model of neutrino oscillation and decay
The electron-like excess observed by the MiniBooNE experiment is explained with a model comprising a new low mass state (O(1) eV) participating in neutrino oscillations and a new high mass state
Bounds on light sterile neutrino mass and mixing from cosmology and laboratory searches
We provide a consistent framework to set limits on properties of light sterile neutrinos coupled to all three active neutrinos using a combination of the latest cosmological data and terrestrial

Cosmological constraints on sterile neutrino oscillations from Planck
Both particle physics experiments and cosmological surveys can constrain the properties of sterile neutrinos, but do so with different parameterizations that naturally use different prior

Searches for Sterile Neutrinos with the IceCube Detector.
New exclusion limits are placed on the parameter space of the 3+1 model, in which muon antineutrinos experience a strong Mikheyev-Smirnov-Wolfenstein-resonant oscillation.
Sterile neutrinos, lepton asymmetries, primordial elements: how much of each?
We investigate quantitatively the extent to which having a primordial leptonic asymmetry $({n}_{\ensuremath{\nu}}\ensuremath{\ne}{n}_{\overline{\ensuremath{\nu}}})$ relaxes the bounds on light
Thermalisation of sterile neutrinos in the early universe in the 3+1 scheme with full mixing matrix
In the framework of a 3+1 scheme with an additional inert state, we consider the thermalisation of sterile neutrinos in the early Universe taking into account the full 4×4 mixing matrix. The
Search for Sterile Neutrinos Mixing with Muon Neutrinos in MINOS.
A search for oscillations involving a light sterile neutrino over distances of 1.04 and 735 km in a ν_{μ}-dominated beam with a peak energy of 3 GeV finds no evidence for ν¬→ν_{s} transitions, and sets a world-leading limit on θ_{24} for values of Δm_{41}^{2}≲1  eV^{2}.
Limits on Active to Sterile Neutrino Oscillations from Disappearance Searches in the MINOS, Daya Bay, and Bugey-3 Experiments.
Results from both experiments are combined with those from the Bugey-3 reactor neutrino experiment to constrain oscillations into light sterile neutrinos, enabling the combined analysis to probe regions allowed by the Liquid Scintillator Neutrino Detector (LSND) and MiniBooNE experiments in a minimally extended four-neutrinos flavor framework.
