We study a new type of black holes in three-dimensional new massive gravity and we calculate analytically the quasinormal modes for fermionic perturbations for some special cases. Then we show that for these cases black holes of the new type are stable under fermionic field perturbations.

Fermionic field perturbations of a three-dimensional Lifshitz black hole in conformal gravity

We study the propagation of massless fermionic fields in the background of a three-dimensional Lifshitz black hole, which is a solution of conformal gravity. The black-hole solution is characterized

Scalar field quasinormal modes on asymptotically locally flat rotating black holes in three dimensions

The pure quadratic term of New Massive Gravity in three dimensions admits asymptotically locally flat, rotating black holes. These black holes are characterized by their mass and angular momentum, as

Quasinormal modes of massive fermions in Kerr spacetime: Long-lived modes and the fine structure

Quasinormal modes of a massive Dirac field were calculated for various static black hole backgrounds with the help of the WKB formula. These estimations, however, are rough and valid only for very

Hawking radiation and propagation of massive charged scalar field on a three-dimensional Gödel black hole

In this paper we consider the three-dimensional Gödel black hole as a background and we study the vector particle tunneling from this background in order to obtain the Hawking temperature. Then, we

Quasinormal modes and black hole hairs in AdS

Holography relates the quasinormal modes frequencies of AdS black holes to the pole structure of the dual field theory propagator. These modes thus provide the timescale for the approach to thermal

Perturbative and nonperturbative fermionic quasinormal modes of Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet-AdS black holes

In this work, we present the quasinormal modes of a fermionic field in the background of Gauss-Bonnet-AdS black holes. We find exact solutions for $D=5$ at the fixed value $\alpha=R^2/2$ of the

The GUP Effect on Tunneling of Massive Vector Bosons from The 2+1 Dimensional Black Hole

In this study, the Generalized Uncertainty Principle (GUP) effect on the Hawking radiation formed by tunneling of a massive vector boson particle from the 2+1 dimensional new-type black hole was

Exact scalar (quasi-)normal modes of black holes and solitons in gauged SUGRA

Abstract In this paper we identify a new family of black holes and solitons that lead to the exact integration of scalar probes, even in the presence of a non-minimal coupling with the Ricci scalar

Quasi-normal modes for new type black holes in new massive gravity

We obtain the quasi-normal mode (QNM) frequencies of scalar perturbation on new type black holes in three-dimensional new massive gravity. In some special cases, the exact QNM frequencies are

Warped AdS3 black holes in new massive gravity

We investigate stationary, rotationally symmetric solutions of a recently proposed three-dimensional theory of massive gravity. Along with BTZ black holes, we also obtain warped AdS3 black holes, and

Black holes with a null Killing vector in three-dimensional massive gravity

We investigate solutions of new massive gravity with two commuting Killing vectors, one of which is null, with a special emphasis on black hole solutions. Besides extreme BTZ black holes and, for a

Quasi-normal modes of extremal BTZ black holes in TMG

We study the spectrum of tensor perturbations on extremal BTZ black holes in topologically massive gravity for arbitrary values of the coefficient of the Chern-Simons term, μ. Imposing proper

Lifshitz black hole in three dimensions

We show that three-dimensional massive gravity admits Lifshitz metrics with generic values of the dynamical exponent $z$ as exact solutions. At the point $z=3$, exact black hole solutions that are

Scalar, electromagnetic and Weyl perturbations of BTZ black holes: Quasinormal modes

We calculate the quasinormal modes and associated frequencies of the Banados-Teitelboim-Zanelli (BTZ) nonrotating black hole. This black hole lives in 2+1 dimensions in an asymptotically

Effective potential for even parity Regge-Wheeler gravitational perturbation equations

The Schr\"odinger-type equation for odd-parity perturbations on a background geometry has been extended to the even-parity perturbations. This should greatly simplify the analysis for calculations of

Quasinormal modes of the extremal BTZ black hole

Motivated by several pieces of evidence, in order to show that extremal black holes cannot be obtained as limits of non-extremal black holes, in this paper we calculate explicitly quasinormal modes

Massive gravity in three dimensions.

TLDR
The extension to massive N-extended supergravity is discussed, the "cosmological" extension that admits an anti-de Sitter vacuum is presented, and a more general model propagates the two spin-2 helicity states with different masses.

Massive 3D supergravity

We construct the three-dimensional supergravity theory with cosmological, Einstein–Hilbert, Lorentz Chern–Simons, and general curvature squared terms. We determine the general supersymmetric
