We propose a dipole modulation model for the Cosmic Microwave Background Radiation (CMBR) polarization field. We show that the model leads to correlations between l and l+1 multipoles, exactly as in the case of temperature. We obtain results for the case of TE, EE and BB correlations. An anisotropic or inhomogeneous model of primordial power spectrum which leads to such correlations in temperature field also predicts similar correlations in CMBR polarization. We analyze the CMBR temperature and…
On the Impossibility of Dipole Modulation in E and B Mode Polarization Fields of CMB
Cosmic Microwave Background Radiation is characterized by T, Q and U fields. A dipole modulation in these fields has been studied in different contexts. E and B are derived from Q and U fields with
Weak lensing effect on CMB in the presence of a dipole anisotropy
We investigate weak lensing effect on cosmic microwave background (CMB) in the presence of a superhorizon mode which leads to a dipole anisotropy in the CMB power spectrum and in large scale
A pixel space method for testing dipole modulation in the CMB polarization
We introduce a pixel space method to detect dipole modulation or hemispherical power asymmetry in the cosmic microwave background (CMB) polarization. The method relies on the use of squared total
Anisotropic power spectrum and the observed low-l power in PLANCK CMB data
In this work, we study a direction dependent power spectrum in anisotropic Finsler space-time. We use this direction dependent power spectrum to address the low-l power observed in WMAP and PLANCK
Probing Statistical Isotropy of Cosmological Radio Sources using Square Kilometre Array
There currently exist many observations which are not consistent with the cosmological principle. We review these observations with a particular emphasis on those relevant for the Square Kilometre
Is there evidence for anomalous dipole anisotropy in the large-scale structure?
We probe the anisotropy of the large-scale structure (LSS) with the WISE-2MASS catalogue. This analysis is performed by a directional comparison of the galaxy number counts through the entire
A Global ILC Approach in Pixel Space over Large Angular Scales of the Sky Using CMB Covariance Matrix
We propose a new internal linear combination (ILC) method in the pixel space, applicable on large angular scales of the sky, to estimate a foreground-minimized cosmic microwave background (CMB)

The standard model of cosmology predicts a statistically isotropic (SI) cosmic microwave background (CMB) sky. However, the SI violation signals are always present in an observed sky-map. Different

This article does the most general treatment of modulation in Polarization fields. We have considered both linear polarization fields Q and U & also scalar polarization modes E and B. We have shown
Cosmological power spectrum in a noncommutative spacetime
We propose a generalized star product which deviates from the standard product when the fields at evaluated at different space-time points. This produces no changes in the standard Lagrangian density

Statistics of cosmic microwave background polarization
We present a formalism for analyzing a full-sky temperature and polarization map of the cosmic microwave background. Temperature maps are analyzed by expanding over the set of spherical harmonics to
Microwave Background Correlations from Dipole Anisotropy Modulation
Full-sky maps of the cosmic microwave background temperature reveal a 7% asymmetry of fluctuation power between two halves of the sky. A common phenomenological model for this asymmetry is an overall
We reconsider analysis of data on the cosmic microwave background on the largest angular scales. Temperature multipoles of any order factor naturally into a direct product of axial quantities and
Relating the inhomogeneous power spectrum to the CMB hemispherical anisotropy
We relate the observed hemispherical anisotropy in the cosmic microwave radiation data to an inhomogeneous power spectrum model. The hemispherical anisotropy can be parameterized in terms of the
Direction dependence of cosmological parameters due to cosmic hemispherical asymmetry
Persistent evidence for a cosmic hemispherical asymmetry in the temperature field of cosmic microwave background (CMB) as observed by both WMAP as well as PLANCK increases the possibility of its
A hemispherical power asymmetry from inflation
Measurements of cosmic microwave background temperature fluctuations by the Wilkinson Microwave Anisotropy Probe indicate that the fluctuation amplitude in one half of the sky differs from the
An all sky analysis of polarization in the microwave background
Using the formalism of spin-weighted functions we present an all-sky analysis of polarization in the Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB). Linear polarization is a second-rank symmetric and traceless
Constraints on mode couplings and modulation of the CMB with WMAP data
We investigate a possible asymmetry in the statistical properties of the cosmic microwave background temperature field and to do so we construct an estimator aiming at detecting a dipolar modulation.
Parity asymmetry in the CMBR temperature power spectrum
We study the power asymmetry between even and odd multipoles in the multipolar expansion of cosmic microwave background temperature data from the Wilkinson Microwave Anisotropy Probe (WMAP), recently
Expected dipole asymmetry in CMB polarization
We explore the hemispherical asymmetry predicted in cosmic microwave background polarization when there is an asymmetry in temperature anisotropies due to primordial perturbations. We consider the
