Dimensional reduction of higher derivative heterotic supergravity

title={Dimensional reduction of higher derivative heterotic supergravity},
author={Hao‐Yuan Chang and Ergin Sezgin and Yoshiaki Tanii},
Higher derivative couplings of hypermultiplets to $6D, N=(1,0)$ supergravity are obtained from dimensional reduction of 10D heterotic supergravity that includes order $\alpha'$ higher derivative corrections. Reduction on $T^4$ is followed by a consistent truncation. In the resulting action the hyperscalar fields parametrize the coset $SO(4,4)/(SO(4)\times SO(4))$. While the $SO(4,4)$ symmetry is ensured by Sen's construction based on string field theory, its emergence at the field theory level…

Duality invariant string beta functions at two loops
We compute, for cosmological backgrounds, the O(d, d;R) invariant beta functions for the sigma model of the bosonic string at two loops. This yields an independent first-principle derivation of the

Heterotic effective action and duality symmetries revisited
A bstractThe dimensional reduction of heterotic supergravity with gauge fields truncated to the Cartan subalgebra exhibits a continuous O(d, d + 16; ℝ) global symmetry, related to the O(d, d + 16; ℤ)
Higher derivative extension of 6D chiral gauged supergravity
A bstractSix-dimensional (1, 0) supersymmetric gauged Einstein-Maxwell supergravity is extended by the inclusion of a supersymmetric Riemann tensor squared invariant. Both the original model as well
Gauss-Bonnet Supergravity in Six Dimensions.
This Letter constructs its off-shell N=(1,0) supersymmetrization in six dimensions for the first time and studies this invariant together with the supersymmetric Einstein-Hilbert term to confirm and extend known results of the α-corrected string theory compactified to six dimensions.

O(n, n) invariance and Wald entropy formula in the Heterotic Superstring effective action at first order in α′
We perform the toroidal compactification of the full Bergshoeff-de Roo version of the Heterotic Superstring effective action to first order in α′ . The dimensionally-reduced action is given in a
