  • Abstract Dilepton radiation from parton (quark-gluon) matter, produced in ultrarelativistic nucleus-nucleus collisions, is calculated within a kinetic theory approach in order to study non-equilibrium effects. We investigate (i) the approach towards equilibrium in early collisions stages and (ii) the departure from a supposed equilibrium stage due to the subsequent longitudinal expansion.
