It has been shown that the entropy function formalism is an efficient way to calculate the entropy of black holes in string theory. We check this formalism for the extremal charged dilaton black hole. We find the general four-derivative correction on the black hole entropy from the value of the entropy function at its extremum point.

Black holes in 4D Einstein–Maxwell–Gauss–Bonnet gravity coupled with scalar fields

Einstein-Maxwell-Gauss-Bonnet-axion theory in 4-dimensional spacetime is studied in this paper with a "Kaluza-Klein-like" process. The dyonic black hole solution coupled with higher derivative terms

Entropy function for rotating extremal black holes in very special geometry

We use the relation between extremal black hole solutions in five- and in four-dimensional N = 2 supergravity theories with cubic prepotentials to define the entropy function for extremal black holes

Entropy function for 4-charge extremal black holes in type IIA superstring theory

We calculate the entropy of 4-charge extremal black holes in Type IIA supersting theory by using Sen's entropy function method. Using the low-energy effective actions in both 10D and 4D, we find

R^4 Corrections to D1D5p Black Hole Entropy from Entropy Function Formalism

TLDR
It is shown that in IIB string theory and for D1D5p black holes in ten dimensions the method of entropy function works and the entropy is given by the entropy function at its extremum point.

One entropy function to rule them all

We study the entropy of extremal four dimensional black holes and five dimensional black holes and black rings is a unified framework using Sen's entropy function and dimensional reduction. The five

Born-Infeld corrections to the entropy function of heterotic black holes

We use the black hole entropy function to study the effect of Born-Infeld terms on the entropy of extremal black holes in heterotic string theory in four dimensions. We find that after adding a set

On entropy function for supersymmetric black rings

The entropy function for five-dimensional supersymmetric black rings, which are solutions of U(1)(3) minimal supergravity, is calculated via both on-shell and off-shell formalism. We find that at the

More on entropy function formalism for non-extremal branes

We find R4 correction to the non-extremal D1D5P solution of the supergravity by exactly solving the differential equations of motion and by using the entropy function formalism. In both cases, we

Entropy function for heterotic black holes

We use the entropy function formalism to study the effect of the Gauss-Bonnet term on the entropy of spherically symmetric extremal black holes in heterotic string theory in four dimensions.

Charged black holes in string theory.

TLDR
A family of solutions to low-energy string theory representing static, spherically symmetric charged black holes is described, and the extremal charged "black holes" are found to be geodesically complete spacetimes with no event horizons and no singularities.

Black hole entropy function and the attractor mechanism in higher derivative gravity

TLDR
The entropy of the black hole is given by the value of the entropy function at this extremum, and the values of the scalar fields at the horizon as well as the sizes of AdS2 and SD?2 are determined by extremizing this entropy function with respect to the corresponding parameters.
