ABSTRACTThis article gives an overview of research conducted at Victoria University of Wellington regarding the perceptions and expectations of user communities and librarians. It reviews the previous theory in this area and then presents the methodology for this study. This research examines the extent to which users' and librarians' perceptions of the useability of digital services differ. A range of issues and recommendations for ways to improve the digital services are discussed.Â
