The dynamical process of the diffusion of tagged particles in a one-dimensional concentrated lattice gas is investigated. The particles are noninteracting except that double occupancy is forbidden. The mean-square displacement of a tagged particle is calculated for all times by an approximate theory and compared to results from Monte Carlo simulations. The overall agreement is quite good. For an infinite chain and for large time t the mean-square displacement is found to increase proportionally…

Diffusion in a one-dimensional bosonic lattice gas

A one-dimensional lattice-gas model with order preservation is considered where the occupation probabilities of sites correspond to Bose statistics as a consequence of the prescribed dynamics. The

Correlated hopping in honeycomb lattice: tracer diffusion coefficient at arbitrary lattice gas concentration

The tracer diffusion coefficient is investigated for a correlated diffusion of a tracer, which is a particle of the lattice gas. The lattice gas consists of particles of arbitrary concentration

Tagged Particle Diffusion in One-Dimensional Systems with Hamiltonian Dynamics-II

We study various temporal correlation functions of a tagged particle in one-dimensional systems of interacting point particles evolving with Hamiltonian dynamics. Initial conditions of the particles

Exact diffusion constant for one-dimensional asymmetric exclusion models

The one-dimensional fully asymmetric exclusion model, which describes a system of particles hopping in a preferred direction with hard core interactions, is considered on a ring of size N. The steady

Self-diffusion in one-dimensional lattice gases in the presence of an external field

We study the motion of a tagged particle in a one-dimensional lattice gas with nearest-neighbor asymmetric jumps, withp (respectively,q),p > q, the probability to jump to the right (left). It was

Influence of a uniform driving force on tracer diffusion in a one-dimensional hard-core lattice gas

The influence of a uniform driving force on tracer diffusion is investigated for a one-dimensional lattice gas where particles jump stochastically to unoccupied neighboring sites. A new, simple

Fractal kinetics of multiparticle diffusion

The authors consider the kinetics of the diffusion process of an assembly of N0 initially aggregated particles. The particles are non-interacting except that double occupancy is forbidden. A computer

Tagged Particle Diffusion in One-Dimensional Gas with Hamiltonian Dynamics

We consider a one-dimensional gas of hard point particles in a finite box that are in thermal equilibrium and evolving under Hamiltonian dynamics. Tagged particle correlation functions of the middle

Diffusion of colloids in one-dimensional light channels

Single-file diffusion (SFD), prevalent in many chemical and biological processes, refers to the one-dimensional motion of interacting particles in pores which are so narrow that the mutual passage of

Effect of a forbidden site on a d-dimensional lattice random walk

We study the effect of a single excluded site on the diffusion of a particle undergoing a random walk in a d-dimensional lattice. The determination of the characteristic function allows us to find
