A 54-year-old man with a history of diabetes and suspected lung cancer was brought to the emergency department for consciousness impairment. An F-FDG PET/CT was performed to evaluate the chest malignancy and the possibility of brain metastases. Rapid blood glucose was determined as 18.0 mmol/L (reference range, 3.6–6.1 mmol/L) just before the F-FDG administration.
