Previously we grew differentiated primary epithelial tissue cultures from rabbit renal medullary thick ascending limbs but were unable to subculture them into lines. Now, following the use of amnion as a support during the initial passages, two cell lines have grown from single fragments of medullary thick ascending limbs.
