Abstract In a series of 158 cases of temporallobe epilepsy where the age at onset was less than ten years, the distributions of age at time of first fit were different, both when left and right sides and when males and females were considered separately. In males, the inception-rate fell away smoothly with increasing age, but in females the fall was more precipitate.
