SummaryMultiple factors contribute to the growth retardation which is a characteristic feature of uncontrolled diabetes. In this report we have examined the effects of streptozotocin-induced (STZ) diabetes on expression of insulin-like growth factor-I (IGF-I) and insulin-like growth factor binding protein-1 (IGFBP-1) in various tissues.
