We studied differences in the effects of a long-acting angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor (temocapril) and a long-acting calcium channel blocker (amlodipine) on ventricular ectopic beats (VEB) in relation to sympathetic nerve activity in 46 patients with essential hypertension.
