The differential contribution of the virulence factors invasin, protein tyrosine phosphatase (YopH), cytotoxin (YopE), and adhesin (YadA) of Yersinia enterocolitica to evasion of the antibacterial activities of polymorphonuclear leukocytes (PMNs) (oxidative burst, phagocytosis, killing) was analyzed.
