We examined the responses of epicardial (Epi) and endocardial (Endo) layers to ATP-sensitive K+ (KATP) channel modulators during regional ischemia in anesthetized dogs. Five-minute occlusion of the left anterior descending coronary artery was repeated at 30-min interval.
