Two actinobacterial strains, YIM 65001(T) and YIM 65002(T), were isolated from surface-sterilized plant tissues collected from Yunnan Province, south-west China, and their taxonomic positions were determined by using a polyphasic approach. The DNA G+C contents of strains YIM 65001(T) and YIM 65002(T) were 71.9 and 72.6 mol%, respectively. The two strains had chemotaxonomic markers that were consistent with their classification in the genus Dietzia. Phylogenetic analysis based on almost-complete…

Description of Dietzia lutea sp. nov., isolated from a desert soil in Egypt.
Dietzia timorensis sp. nov., isolated from soil.
TLDR
An actinomycete strain, ID05-A0528(T), was isolated using the SDS-yeast extract pre-treatment method from soil under mahogany trees in West Timor, Indonesia, and was examined by using a polyphasic taxonomic approach, demonstrating that the novel strain belongs to the genus Dietzia.
Actinomadura flavalba sp. nov., an endophytic actinomycete isolated from leaves of Maytenus austroyunnanensis.
TLDR
A combination of DNA-DNA hybridization results and significant differences in morphological and physiological characteristics indicate that strain YIM 61435(T) represents a novel species of the genus Actinomadura, for which the name Actinodura flavalba sp.
Pseudonocardia antimicrobica sp. nov., a novel endophytic actinomycete associated with Artemisia annua L. (sweet wormwood)
TLDR
On the basis of the phenotypic and phylogenetic distinctiveness, the novel isolate was identified as representing a novel species of the genus Pseud onocardia, for which the name Pseudonocardia antimicrobica sp.
Dietzia alimentaria sp. nov., isolated from a traditional Korean food.

TLDR
16S rRNA gene sequence analysis and DNA-DNA hybridization revealed genotypic and phenotypic differences between strain 72(T) and other members of the genus Dietzia, which represents a novel species, for which the name DietZia alimentaria sp.
Dietzia aurantiaca sp. nov., isolated from a human clinical specimen.
TLDR
The fatty acid profile, comprising C(16:0), C(17:0,) C(18:1)ω9c and 10-methyl-C( 18:0) as major fatty acids, supported the affiliation of strain CCUG 35676(T) to the genus Dietzia.
Dietzia aerolata sp. nov., isolated from the air of a duck barn, and emended description of the genus Dietzia Rainey et al. 1995.
TLDR
The results of physiological and biochemical tests and DNA-DNA hybridizations allowed a clear phenotypic differentiation of strain Sj14a(T) from the most closely related species of the genus Dietzia.
Identification of hydrocarbon-oxidizing Dietzia bacteria from petroleum reservoirs based on phenotypic properties and analysis of the 16S rRNA and gyrB genes
The taxonomic position of hydrocarbon-oxidizing bacterial strains 263 and 32d isolated from formation water of the Daqing petroleum reservoir (PRC) was determined by polyphasic taxonomy techniques,
Characterization of bacteria of the genus Dietzia: an updated review
The aim of this study was to characterize several aspects of species of the genus Dietzia, such as current taxonomic placement, morphological and growth characteristics, biochemical reactions,
Isolation and characterization of Dietzia maris from midgut of Aedes albopictus: A suitable candidate for paratransgenesis
TLDR
Dietzia maris can be a suitable candidate for genetic modification for expression of effector molecules against the parasite like dengue and chikungunya in the mosquitoe’s midgut as was possible in R. rhodnii.

TLDR
It is proposed that this strain represents a novel species, Dietzia kunjamensis sp.

TLDR
A Gram-positive, motile, short-rod-shaped strain, isolated from a forest-soil sample collected from Lijiang, Yunnan Province, China, and was investigated using a polyphasic taxonomic approach represents a novel species of the genus Georgenia, for which the nameGeorgenia ruanii sp.
Dietzia natronolimnaios sp. nov., a new member of the genus Dietzia isolated from an East African soda lake
TLDR
Phenotypic comparisons between D. maris and one isolate showed that they share very similar morphological and chemotaxonomic properties, but differ significantly in carbon source utilization profiles and halotolerance in alkaline medium.

TLDR
It is proposed that this actinomycete, strain FXJ46(T), was isolated from cypress forest soil in northern China and shown to have chemotaxonomic and morphological properties consistent with streptomycetes, be classified as a novel species of the genus Streptomyces.
Naxibacter alkalitolerans gen. nov., sp. nov., a novel member of the family 'Oxalobacteraceae' isolated from China.
TLDR
It is proposed that strain YIM 31775(T) should be classified as representing a novel member of the family 'Oxalobacteraceae', for which the name Naxibacter alkalitolerans gen. nov., sp.
