The Dietary Supplement Ingredient Database (DSID) will include representative estimates for the ingredient content of commonly used supplements. An ongoing pilot study of sample handling and analytical methods for 7 high priority nutrients in a multivitamin/mineral matrix was expanded to include an additional 7 vitamins and 8 minerals. Laboratories whose analyses of 16 of the 22 nutrients had a <10 % coefficient of variation (CV) met the criterion of an acceptable precision level. Those… CONTINUE READING
