  • MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are short, noncoding RNA molecules that posttranscriptionally regulate gene expression by targeting the 3´-untranslated region (3´-UTR) of mRNAs. Interaction of miRNA with the 3´-UTR results either in RNA degradation or in translational repression that affects various fundamental biological processes and different diseases.
