Two new genera of East African Acrometopini are erected: the monotypic Peronurellan from Miombo woodlands in central Tanzania, andTenerasphagan, which shows a plesiomorphic karyotype with a diploid chromosome number of 2n = 31 and a X0 sex chromosome system in males.
Fossil calibrations for the cockroach phylogeny (Insecta, Dictyoptera, Blattodea), comments on the use of wings for their identification, and a redescription of the oldest Blaberidae
- Geography
- 2017
This first thorough assessment of the fossil calibrations for divergence time estimation of cockroaches concludes that currently the best fossils to use for calibration of the cockroach tree are: Cretaholocompsa montsecana, “Gyna” obesa, Cariblattoides labandeirai, and Ectobius kohlsi.

- Biology
- 2010
Epholidoptera Mařan is a Mediterranean lineage of Tettigoniidae, restricted to the northern and eastern basin of the Mediterranean, with a significant number of species found on the Aegean islands, and radiation in the genus is a result of divergence in morphology.
