First records of Brachycrotaphus tryxalicerus (Fischer, 1854) in the Italian Peninsula (Orthoptera: Acrididae)
The authors report the first data of an Afrotropical and Mediterranean grasshopper, Brachycrotaphus tryxalicerus, for the Italian peninsula. In the Mediterranean area this species had been previously
New genera and new species of Acrometopini (Orthoptera: Tettigonioidea Phaneropterinae) from East Africa and a review of all known stridulatory organs, songs and karyotypes of the tribe
Two new genera of East African Acrometopini are erected: the monotypic Peronurellan from Miombo woodlands in central Tanzania, andTenerasphagan, which shows a plesiomorphic karyotype with a diploid chromosome number of 2n = 31 and a X0 sex chromosome system in males.
Fossil calibrations for the cockroach phylogeny (Insecta, Dictyoptera, Blattodea), comments on the use of wings for their identification, and a redescription of the oldest Blaberidae
This first thorough assessment of the fossil calibrations for divergence time estimation of cockroaches concludes that currently the best fossils to use for calibration of the cockroach tree are: Cretaholocompsa montsecana, “Gyna” obesa, Cariblattoides labandeirai, and Ectobius kohlsi.
A taxonomic revision of western Eupholidoptera bush crickets (Orthoptera: Tettigoniidae): testing the discrimination power of DNA barcode
Nine lineages of Italian Eupholidoptera are distinguished, of which E. tyrrhenica sp.n.
Phylogeny and biogeography Eupholidoptera Mařan (Orthoptera, Tettigoniidae): morphological speciation in correlation with the geographical evolution of the eastern Mediterranean
Epholidoptera Mařan is a Mediterranean lineage of Tettigoniidae, restricted to the northern and eastern basin of the Mediterranean, with a significant number of species found on the Aegean islands, and radiation in the genus is a result of divergence in morphology.
Systematic status and distribution of Eupholidoptera (Orthoptera: Tettigoniidae) in the Balkans (north of Central Greece)
By comparing a large material from several museums and collections it became evident that in this area only three species occur, E. smyrnensis,E.
An annotated checklist of the Orthoptera (Saltatoria) of Cyprus
For the first time a critical, annotated checklist of the Orthoptera of Cyprus is published and it is argued that Modicogryllus cyprius is a valid species, based on the morphology of the epiphallus and analysis of song.
Tettigoniidae (Orthoptera) from Turkey and the Middle East
A rich material which consists of the unidentified specimens preserved in the Natural History Museum London; Naturhistorisches Museum Wien and the specimens collected from Turkey by the author, is studied and many species are discussed and compared with their close allies.

Eupholidoptera jacquelinae spec. nov. from the Greek island of Gavdos, south of Crete (Orthoptera: Tettigoniidae)
This new species, E. jacquelinae, was found on the Greek island of Gavdos, south of Crete, and its relation with other members of the genus Eupholidoptera Maran is discussed on the basis of morphological traits.
