In order to evaluate the effect of dipromochloropropane (DBCP) on reproductive function, groups of male adult Wistar rats were injected subcutaneously with different doses of DBCP. A strictly dose-dependent effect resulting in histological alteration principally toward the seminiferous tubules was observed. Sperm count and sperm motility showed azoospermia or oligoasthenospermia with a significative recovery in the lower dose of DBCP treated rats.
