We obtain a basis of diagonal free field multi-matrix 2-point correlators in a theory with global symmetry group G. The operators fall into irreducible representations of G. This applies for gauge group U(N) at finite N. For composites made of n fundamental fields, this is expressed in terms of Clebsch-Gordan coefficients for the decomposition of the n-fold tensor products of the fundamental field representation in terms of G × Sn representations. We use this general construction in the case of…
Enhanced symmetries of gauge theory and resolving the spectrum of local operators
Enhanced global non-Abelian symmetries at zero coupling in Yang Mills theory play an important role in diagonalizing the two-point functions of multimatrix operators. Generalized Casimirs constructed
A basis for large operators in N=4 SYM with orthogonal gauge group
A bstractWe develop techniques to study the correlation functions of “large operators” whose bare dimension grows parametrically with N, in SO(N) gauge theory. We build the operators from a single

Free particles from Brauer algebras in complex matrix models
The gauge invariant degrees of freedom of matrix models based on an N × N complex matrix, with U(N) gauge symmetry, contain hidden free particle structures. These are exhibited using triangular
Correlators of operators with a large ℛ-charge
Correlation functions of operators with a conformal dimension of O(N2) are not well approximated by the planar limit. The non-planar diagrams, which in the bulk spacetime correspond to string loop
Gauge/Gravity Duality at Finite N
In the past decade, the gauge/gravity duality has been extensively explored in the large N limit. In particular, the spectrum of anomalous dimensions have been compared with the energy spectrum of

Diagonal multi-matrix correlators and BPS operators in N=4 SYM
We present a complete basis of multi-trace multi-matrix operators that has a diagonal two point function for the free matrix field theory at finite N. This generalises to multiple matrices the single
Exact Correlators of Giant Gravitons from dual N=4 SYM
A class of correlation functions of half-BPS composite operators are computed exactly (at finite $N$) in the zero coupling limit of N=4 SYM theory. These have a simple dependence on the

Multi giant graviton systems, SUSY breaking and CFT
In this article, we describe giant gravitons in AdS5 × 5 moving along generic trajectories in AdS5. The giant graviton dynamics is solved by proving that the D3-brane effective action reduces to that
Giant gravitons in conformal field theory
Giant gravitons in AdS5 ? S5, and its orbifolds, have a dual field theory representation as states created by chiral primary operators. We argue that these operators are not single-trace operators in
Higher Spin Symmetry and N = 4 SYM
We assemble the spectrum of single-trace operators in free N = 4 SU(N) SYM theory into irreducible representations of the Higher Spin symmetry algebra hs(2,2|4). Higher Spin representations or

The dynamics of finite temperature U(N) gauge theories on S3 can be described, at weak coupling, by an effective unitary matrix model. Here we present an exact solution to these models, for any value
