Diagnostic efficacy of Color Doppler combined with Gray scale ultrasonography over Modified Alvarado score for diagnosing appendicitis

This is a prospective study conducted on 289 patients of 11 to 30 years age group with clinically suspected appendicitis. After Modified Alvarado scoring, ultrasonography (USG) was done. Each patient was then subjected to surgery and the removed appendix was sent for histopathological examination. The histopathological diagnosis was considered as Gold Standard.
