PURPOSE OF REVIEW Diacylglycerol is an intermediate product of triacylglycerol hydrolysis and comprises up to 10% of glycerides in plant-derived edible fats and oils. Recent developments in oil chemistry have led to the availability of a novel diacylglycerol oil for clinical studies.
