Diabetes mellitus is recognized as a risk factor for compromised wound healing. This study examines leukocyte infiltration and the appearance of tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF) and IL-6 in wound chambers implanted in normal and streptozotocin-induced diabetic mice.
