The STAR Collaboration reports measurements of back-to-back azimuthal correlations of diπ0 produced at forward pseudorapidity (2.6 < η < 4.0) in p+p, p+Al and p+Au collisions at a center-of-mass energy per nucleon-nucleon pair of 200 GeV. A clear suppression of the correlated away-side yields is observed in p+Au and for the first time in p+Al collisions, compared with the p+p data. The enhanced suppression found in p+Au with respect to p+Al collisions exhibits the saturation scale (Qs…

Transverse-momentum spectra in Au+Au and d+Au collisions at sqrt[s(NN)]=200 GeV and the pseudorapidity dependence of high-p(T) suppression.
Spectra of charged hadrons from Au+Au and d-Au collisions at sqrt[s(NN)]=200 GeV measured with the BRAHMS experiment at RHIC indicate a high energy loss of the high p(T) particles in the medium created in the central Au+ au collisions.
Suppression of back-to-back hadron pairs at forward rapidity in d+Au collisions at √s(NN)=200 GeV.
Back-to-back hadron pair yields in d+Au and p+p collisions at √s(NN)=200 GeV were measured with the PHENIX detector at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider and the observed suppression as a function of nuclear thickness, p(T), and η points to cold nuclear matter effects arising at high parton densities.
Forward neutral pion production in p+p and d+Au collisions at VsNN=200 GeV
Measurements of the production of forward π0 mesons from p+p and d+Au collisions at VsNN=200 GeV are reported. The p+p yield generally agrees with next-to-leading order perturbative QCD calculations.
Multiple parton interactions and forward double pion production in pp and dA scattering
We estimate the contributions by double-parton interactions to the cross sections for pp{yields}{pi}{sup 0}{pi}{sup 0}X and dA{yields}{pi}{sup 0}{pi}{sup 0}X at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider
Jet azimuthal correlations and parton saturation in the color glass condensate
Abstract We consider the influence of parton saturation in the color glass condensate on the back-to-back azimuthal correlations of high- p T hadrons in pA (or dA ) collisions. When both near-side
Semihard processes in QCD
Abstract Deep inelastic scattering, large pt particle production in hadron collisions and e+e− annihilation into hadrons are studied in perturbative QCD in the semihard region of very small x (x ⪡ 1)
The Beam‐Beam Counter: A Local Polarimeter at STAR
At the Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC) the Beam‐Beam Counter (BBC) array for the Solenodial Tracker at RHIC (STAR) is a very versatile tool for polarized
Non-Abelian energy loss in cold nuclear matter
We use a formal recurrence relation approach to multiple parton scattering to find the complete solution to the problem of medium-induced gluon emission from partons propagating in cold nuclear
Dihadron momentum imbalance and correlations in d+Au collisions
We calculate in perturbative QCD the transverse momentum imbalance of dijet and dihadron production in high energy p+A (d+A) collisions. We evaluate the effect of both initial- and final-state
Observations on dA scattering at forward rapidities
Abstract We point out that the suppression in the ratio R dAu recently observed by the BRAHMS Collaboration in forward scattering is stronger than usually appreciated. This is related to the fact
