A real-time Data Acquisition (DAQ) system for the CULTASK axion haloscope experiment was constructed and tested. The CULTASK is an experiment to search for cosmic axions using resonant cavities, to detect photons from axion conversion through the inverse Primakoff effect in a few GHz frequency range in a very high magnetic field and at an ultra low temperature. The constructed DAQ system utilizes a Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) for data processing and Fast Fourier Transformation. This…

Fast DAQ system with image rejection for axion dark matter searches

A fast data acquisition (DAQ) system for axion dark matter searches utilizing a microwave resonant cavity, also known as axion haloscope searches, has been developed with a two-channel digitizer that

Cryogenic cavity detector for a large-scale cold dark-matter axion search

First Results from an Axion Haloscope at CAPP around 10.7  μeV.

The exclusion of the axion mass range 10.7126-10.7186  μeV with near Kim-Shifman-Vainshtein-Zakharov (KSVZ) coupling sensitivity and therange 10.16-11.37‬‬V with about 9 times larger coupling at 90% confidence level is reported, the first axion search result in these ranges.

HAYSTAC axion search analysis procedure

We describe in detail the analysis procedure used to derive the first limits from the Haloscope at Yale Sensitive to Axion CDM (HAYSTAC), a microwave cavity search for cold dark matter (CDM) axions

Axion Dark Matter Search around 6.7  μeV.

These results are sensitive to axion-photon coupling g_{aγγ} down to the QCD axion band over the axion mass range between 6.62 and 6.82  μeV at a 90% confidence level, which is the most sensitive result in the mass range to date.

FIR digital filter design techniques using weighted Chebyshev approximation

This paper discusses the various approaches to designing FIR digital filters using the theory of weighted Chebyshev approximation. The different design techniques are explained and compared on the

A new light boson

It is pointed out that a global U(1) symmetry, that has been introduced in order to preserve the parity and time-reversal invariance of strong interactions despite the effects of instantons, would

Weak Interaction Singlet and Strong CP Invariance

Strong $\mathrm{CP}$ invariance is automatically preserved by a spontaneously broken chiral ${\mathrm{U}(1)}_{4}$ symmetry. A weak-interaction singlet heavy quark $Q$, a new scalar meson

CP Conservation in the Presence of Pseudoparticles

We give an explanation of the $\mathrm{CP}$ conservation of strong interactions which includes the effects of pseudoparticles. We find it is a natural result for any theory where at least one flavor

Problem of Strong $P$ and $T$ Invariance in the Presence of Instantons

The requirement that P and T be approximately conserved in the color gauge theory of strong interactions without arbitrary adjustment of parameters is analyzed. Several possibilities are identified,

Improved axion haloscope search analysis

One of the most significant and practical figures of merit in axion haloscope searches is the scanning rate, because of the unknown axion mass. Under the best experimental parameters, the only way to
