This paper presents the development of a fixed speed wind turbine emulator using the Real Time Digital Simulator (RTDS). The wind turbine emulator consists of a wind turbine modeled in an RSCAD software environment. The software model for the wind turbine generates appropriate torque signals based on wind speed profiles using auto-regressive moving average and perturbation methods.
