A feedlot database was used to evaluate the Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations (CAFOs). The database included 478 feedlots in 318 livestock operations. ArcVIEW GIS software was used to import the database into a digital environment; then spatial evaluations were conducted.The database and evaluation results include the distance to major aquifers and surface waters, operations having more than 200 animal units (AU), soil type, optimum slope, aspect, and finally, runoff flowpath.
