An agent oriented management framework for pricing and controlling multimedia communications is presented as an on going research project. The framework model is described in terms of agent roles identified in multimedia domains. The agent components developed are based on CORBA technology allowing for object transparency. The use of intelligent, mobile and automated software provides a powerful paradigm to managing distributed multimedia systems.
