This paper introduces a new non-dyadic multiresolution analysis-synthesis (MRAS) structure to generate switching signals for DC-AC inverters. We propose a new method for modifying the Haar scaling function to support a non-uniform recurrent sampling process. This modification is based on a linear combination of scale-based shifted Haar scaling functions. These modified scaling functions are capable of constructing a non-dyadic type MRAS.
