An isocratic reversed-phase liquid chromatographic (HPLC) method is proposed for the practical and reliable determination of triclosan, an antimicrobic agent incorporated into a variety of personal heath care products. Chromatographic separations were performed on a C-18 column using acetonitrile-TEA phosphate (70 mM; pH 3.5) 55:45 (v/v) as mobile phase and UV detection at 230 and 280 nm.
