A high-performance liquid chromatographic method for the determination of the HIV protease inhibitor saquinavir in human plasma, saliva, and cerebrospinal fluid is described. Saquinavir was extracted from samples using C2 extraction columns prior to ion-pair, reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography with ultraviolet detection at 239 nm.
