In this paper, we report of determine response characteristic of capacitive displacement sensor with coplanar parallel electrodes. The sensor is designed to measure the displacement of the ground plane relative to the total electrode surface. The optimal geometry of the sensor electrodes with a view to its use on bulb hydrogenerators CΓK 538 / 160-70M as meter of the air gap between the rotor pole and the reboring of the stator core is defined.
