Nitrotyrosine (NTYR) is used as a biomarker of nitrative pathology caused by peroxynitrite (ONOO-) formation. NTYR measurement in biological materials usually employs such methodologies as immunohistochemistry staining, high-performance liquid chromatography and gas chromatography.
