Nifurpipone (5-nitrofuraldehyde-N′-methylpiperazino-acetylhydrazone) in urine was selectively adsorbed and eluted from cationic resin with methanolic ammonium hydroxide solution. The drug in the eluate was determined colorimetrically or spectrophotometrically.
