Both fluoxetine (FLX) and its N-demethylated metabolite, norfluoxetine (NFLX), have been reported to be potent serotonin-reuptake inhibitors. A sensitive and reliable method that allows simultaneous quantification of their plasma levels would be valuable and was developed in this work.
